The Unicorn Facial is a cross between a facial and a chemical peel, and we call it a Unicorn because it works all its magic underneath the skin. We’ll massage the Unicorn solution into your skin, and the unique blend of acids absorbs into the deeper layers of the skin to improve skin tone and firmness. Perfect for those who want an effective and relaxing way to brighten and firm the skin with very little downtime.

Come to your appointment with clean skin (or use one of our CLARA cleansers when you arrive!). For the 1-2 days leading up to your appointment, stop using acids (like glycolic or salicylic acids), other exfoliants,  or retinoids on your skin. Avoid sun exposure before your treatment.

During the treatment we will firmly massage the facial solution into your skin. You can relax and enjoy the massage. You may feel a light stinging or tingling sensation during the treatment. We have handheld fans that you can use to lessen the tingling feeling if you’d like! The entire treatment takes about 20 minutes. 

You may have some slight redness, flaking or very superficial peeling of your skin in the days following treatment, though some people do not have any visible flaking or peeling. You will receive an aftercare kit with a glycolic acid solution to apply for the day of and the day after treatment to enhance your results. Your main job is to protect your skin from the sun even more than you usually do. You can generally return to your normal skincare routine within a week.

Within a few days your skin will look plumper and brighter.

For consistent glowing, firm skin, we recommend doing a Unicorn Facial as often as once a month. Think of this as your monthly pick-me-up for your skin!
