How do I prepare?
We recommend scheduling a consult before booking PRP Hair Boost to make sure that it is the right treatment for you. Bring any lab work, biopsy reports, or other medical information that you may have to your consult appointment.
When preparing for PRP treatment, avoid Advil, Aleve, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Naprosyn, (all non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents), Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver, Essential Fatty Acids (EPA, DHA), for at least 1 week prior to and 2 days after your treatment, unless prescribed by your doctor.
What can I expect during my visit?
During your visit, we will quickly draw your blood, then you get to relax while the PRP is processed. Once prepared, we will clean off the treatment area with alcohol, and inject the Supershot PRP solution into the areas where we want to stimulate growth. We keep you comfortable with ice, cold air, and sometimes topical numbing. The injections are quick, and we finish with light microneedling using a stamping technique to further stimulate hair growth. We will make sure you are comfortable before you leave.
