Sofwave is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared ultrasound treatment that boosts collagen production to firm skin and reduce wrinkles. Preparing for a Sofwave treatment is simple, with no special skincare routine or downtime required. Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotions, or skincare products. Avoid excessive sun exposure and discontinue retinoids or strong exfoliants a few days before treatment if advised by your provider. Topical numbing ointment will be applied before the procedure for added comfort.

During a Sofwave treatment, topical numbing ointment will be applied for about 30 minutes before the procedure. The handheld device will be placed on the skin to deliver ultrasound energy in pulses. This creates a progressive warming sensation as collagen production is stimulated. The procedure typically lasts 30–45 minutes, with mild discomfort and no downtime, allowing you to resume normal activities immediately after.

Sofwave delivers gradual, natural-looking skin rejuvenation, with improvements in firmness, fine lines, and wrinkles appearing over 3 to 6 months as collagen builds. Mild laxity improves with a single treatment, while moderate laxity often requires 2-3 treatments (depending on severity). While Sofwave can enhance skin tightness and smoothness, it does not replace surgical procedures for more severe laxity.
